Senior Process Engineer, Biorefinery
Sundsvall, SE
Your Next Challenge
Do you want to drive the transition to a sustainable society while enhancing Sweden’s self-sufficiency in biofuels? Are you an experienced engineer with a talent for managing complex projects and a passion for turning ambitious ideas into reality alongside dedicated colleagues?
If so, this could be your next great career opportunity.
SCA’s Sustainable Fuels division, part of the Renewable Energy business area, drives the development of large-scale, advanced projects—from concept, design to full execution and operation. Our vision is to build and operate one of the world’s most innovative biorefineries: Biorefinery Östrand. Here, biogenic carbon from by-products of the forest industry, such as sawdust and bark, will be transformed into sustainable advanced biofuels and chemicals. By utilizing biogenic carbon, we reduce the need for fossil raw materials and contribute to a more sustainable future.
We are now looking for driven and experienced Senior Process Engineers who want to become key players in the development of projects such as Biorefinery Östrand. You will work with the latest technology to convert biogenic carbon in solid, liquid, and gaseous forms into sustainable biofuels and chemicals.
Who Are You?
To thrive in the role of Senior Process Engineer, you should have a background in chemical engineering with expertise and experience in process technology, optimization, and process design for industries, preferably within petrochemical facilities. Experience in the refinery industry or large-scale industrial projects is a plus. Additionally, expertise in carbon capture technologies is highly valued.
Our projects span from concept, design to full execution and operation, often in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as technology developers and partners from the petroleum industry. We are therefore looking for someone who is goal-oriented, creative, and has a strong ability to collaborate and build relationships.
You will be part of a high-performing team in an international environment driven by innovation and forward-thinking solutions. We appreciate individuals who are not afraid to challenge themselves or other experts in the field to push this ambitious project forward.
Health and safety are our top priorities, and we expect you to share this focus and apply it consistently in all aspects of your work.
What Do We Offer?
We provide a safe and healthy work environment, fostering personal growth and pride in our collective achievements. Working at SCA means a meaningful career where people are the key to success – every day, all year round.
This is a permanent position with a start date according to agreement, based at SCA’s headquarters in Sundsvall.
